What is included

• Multi-piece Stompgrip tank grip kit; the number and shape of the pieces depend on the model.

Preparation and installation

1. Plan the position: Position the pads before removing the backing and decide on their alignment.
2. Clean the surface: Remove dust, grease, wax and silicone with a cleaner suitable for the surface. Dry with a lint-free cloth.
3. Consider an adhesion promoter: Stompgrip recommends a suitable adhesion promoter. Allow any cleaner and primer to evaporate and dry completely before applying the pads.
4. Warm gently: The manufacturer specifies 21–38 °C for the surface and pad. Warm gently with a hair dryer; do not overheat.
5. Apply the pad: Peel back the backing paper gradually without touching the adhesive. Work from one edge and press firmly with a lint-free cloth, including between the traction profiles. Avoid trapping air bubbles.
6. Allow the bond to develop: Wait at least 24 hours before riding; the manufacturer recommends 48 hours when possible. The adhesive develops its bond over 72 hours.

Follow the current manufacturer instructions and check compatibility with the paint or plastic beforehand.

Removal and reapplication

Stompgrip tank grips are not designed to be reapplied after removal. If necessary, remove them slowly and carefully following the manufacturer instructions. Use only a surface-compatible product to remove any adhesive residue.
