MUCKOFF - Care products
In 1991, Rex and Marilyn Trimnell started X-Lite UK by developing and producing the world's first double crown bicycle fork and the lightest bar ends. But that wasn't enough for Rex. A stickler for detail, he was frustrated by the length of time it took to wash a bike. So he started looking into surfactant technologies and developed a perfectly pink cleaner for his equipment.
In 1994, when most motorcyclists were still cleaning their bikes with salty detergent, it was obvious that water and salt could cause significant corrosion. Rex therefore wanted his cleaner to be environmentally friendly and effective without damaging sensitive surfaces or components. Given the close connection between MTB and motocross, it's only logical for the adrenaline-addicted team at Muc-Off to turn their attention to their other passion: Motorcycles. In 2000, Muc-Off produced its first range of motorcycle care products.
